The Buffalo Soldiers – 10th Cavalry Regiment

For 15 years David Laughlin researched the 10th Cavalry Regiment and their daily activities while stationed in Arizona from 1885 to 1896. His portrayal of the African American soldiers gives a unique glimpse of their lives. The collective work encompasses watercolor, pen and ink, pastel and oil paintings as well as a block print series.
